Get to Know Francis Magundayao
Even if the name Francis Magundayao doesn’t ring a bell with you, chances are you have seen him in Philippine television shows, you probably just didn’t know his name. The young actor after all has appeared in several TV shows since the year 2005. He has appeared in shows produced by the Philippines’ three biggest television networks namely ABS-CBN, GMA7 and TV5. He successfully jumped from one network to another. As of today, Magundayao is currently under the ABS-CBN banner. He stirred a lot of buzz this 2012 when he acted as the young Piolo Pascual in ABS-CBN’s primetime drama offering Dahil sa Pag-ibig. He played the teen version of Alfred Valderama, the character being portrayed by Piolo Pascual in the drama series.
Francis Magundayao was born on May 14, 1999 in Antipolo City in Rizal province. His full and complete name is Francis Elmer Cabaleta Magundayao. He has a younger brother named Elijah who is also an actor. Elijah has appeared in the hit series Only You which starred Sam Milby and Angel Locsin.
The young actor first acted in the fantasy series by GMA7 called Darna back in 2005. He was six years old back then and he played a kid character named Iking. His role in that series kind of stuck among viewers that he is often referred to by the nickname Iking.
